Aches Treatment

A headache is a painful sensation in any part of the head that varies from strong to minor. This may occur with other symptoms also. There are a variety of headaches depending upon the symptoms and medical condition of the patients.

We facilitate the treatment of the following headaches.

Cervicogenic Headaches

Cervicogenic headache is caused by a disorder of the cervical spine and its component bone, disc, and the soft tissue elements in the spine. The junction of the skull and cervical vertebrae have regions that are pain generating, including the lining of the cervical spine, the joints, ligaments, cervical nerve roots, and vertebral arteries passing through the cervical vertebral bodies.

We treat the cervicogenic headache by targeting the cause of the pain in the neck. Our treatments include nerve blocks, medications, physical therapy, and exercise. Physical therapy and an ongoing exercise program often produce the best results.

TMJ Headaches

A TMJ headache that occurs is a tense, dull aching headache. It is most commonly on one side but can be on both. Normally, it is worse on the side where the TMJ is worse. The headache is aggravated by jaw movement and relieves with jaw relaxation.

Physical therapy is a common first-line treatment for TMJ-associated pain and dysfunction. We have a defined physiotherapy program for such patients involving the application of heat or ice to the painful areas, massage, and range of motion exercises. These are simple exercises that can be easily implemented at home also.

Cluster Headaches

Cluster headaches occur several times a day. They start suddenly, last for a limited time, and can be very painful. It normally affects one side of the head and the area around the eyes.Cluster headache starts when a specific nerve pathway in the base of the brain is activated. The affected nerve is responsible for sensations such as heat or pain in the face. It can be near the eye and can be scaled up to the forehead.

At our facility, we use Massage Therapy to eliminate these complications as it is a natural remedy that can help both reduce headache frequency and relieve symptoms.Every patient is different. A detailed assessment of his condition is the best option. Please schedule some time with us so we can show what we can do to recover quickly.
